A. Creating a high quality, high resolution seamless texture is a complex process, which requires variety of skills, careful planning, patience and attention to detail.
First, real-world texture sources are carefully selected by architects and 3d artists with particular regards to contemporary design aesthetics.
Then large number of photographs are taken using high-end digital equipment.
Finally, skilled graphics specialists stitch together and process the photographs, creating high resolution seamless textures with well-balanced color and brightness levels.

Q. What makes stone textures the dominant product in the Square Texture collection?
A. We believe that the value of a stock texture product is measured by the time and effort it saves the end user. Stone textures are some of the most complex and time-consuming textures to create and that makes them a very good value for our customers.
Some of the reasons why graphics professionals would rather purchase a high quality stone texture than spending time to create it themselves are:

• photographic requirements - realistic stone textures cannot be created using automated procedural algorithms and plug-ins, they always require good photographic material;
• finding a good real-world source - it is not always easy to find a good real-world texture source. A sufficiently large area of uniformly looking stone texture source needs to be photographed to avoid obvious repetitive patterns when the final texture is seamlessly tiled;
